The book is divided into three parts:
The first section deals with immigration laws. It deals with immigration laws dating as far back as the 1700’s,
laws such as the 1798 Alien and Sedition Acts. I then go on to write about all the groups that were shunned for being different,
people such as Eastern European Jews, Roman Catholics, Germans, Irish and Poles.
The second part deals with Nativism including the opposite views of Restrictionists and Expansionists. Anti-immigrant
parties were formed creating much friction. I write about groups such as the Know Nothing and the Ku Klux Klan as well as
more modern day groups.
Part III deals with Current Affairs including current population of foreign-born citizens. There were rallies and boycotts
by illegal immigrants and the proponents of high immigration against proposed immigration reforms.
